Founder Message
The Safety & Victims Advocacy Foundation (SVAF) was founded not only in response to a need, but in response to lived experience.
As a survivor of a life-altering incident, I have witnessed firsthand the long and often invisible journey that follows tragedy. Beyond the immediate harm, victims frequently face isolation, inadequate support, and systems that fail to acknowledge their suffering or address the causes of preventable loss. This reality is not unique to one country or community it is a global challenge.
SVAF was established to address this gap.
Our foundation works to support victims of road accidents, fires, industrial incidents, natural disasters, and official negligence by amplifying their voices, advocating for accountability, and promoting safety and prevention. We believe that effective victim advocacy must be rooted in empathy, strengthened by evidence, and sustained through partnerships.
At SVAF, survivor experience informs our mission, but structure, transparency, and impact guide our work. We are committed to responsible advocacy, public awareness, and collaboration with institutions, civil society organizations, and international partners who share our belief that preventable harm must be confronted, not accepted.
Your partnership enables more than support it enables change. Through collaboration, we can strengthen safety awareness, improve responses to victims, and encourage systems that prioritize human life, responsibility, and justice. Donor and partner support allows SVAF to extend its reach, develop local and international initiatives, and ensure that victims are not left to navigate recovery alone.
SVAF represents both remembrance and resolve: remembrance of those harmed, and resolve to transform suffering into action, learning, and prevention.
We welcome partnerships grounded in shared values, accountability, and a commitment to protecting the dignity and rights of victims worldwide. Together, we can help ensure that survival leads not to silence, but to meaningful and lasting change.
